How a custom gift comes together, from the first conversation to the doorstep

A custom gift starts long before anything is wrapped. It starts with a conversation: who it is for, what the day means, and how you want people to feel when they open it. Here is how a bespoke gift comes together at The B Factory, from the first message to the doorstep.
1. Tell us the moment
A wedding, a pooja, a newborn’s arrival, a film crossing a milestone, a thank-you to clients. The occasion shapes everything that follows, from colours and materials to how formal or playful the gift should feel. A shagun basket for a wedding asks for something very different from a return gift for a first birthday.
2. The details that matter
Next come the practical questions: when you need it, how many gifts, the budget per gift, and where they are going. Fifty favours for a family function and three hundred hampers for a corporate launch are planned very differently, so it helps to know early. Rough numbers are fine; we firm them up together.

3. The feel
This is our favourite part. We ask you to point at pieces of our past work that feel right and to tell us one thing about the person: yellow is her favourite colour, he collects old cameras, the whole family loves Kolam. Small details like these turn a nice gift into one that is remembered.
4. We design and present
We come back with a direction: the box or basket, what goes inside, the wrapping, the bow, the tag and the note. You see it before anything is made, and we adjust until it feels like yours.

5. Made by hand, with care
Many of our pieces are made with artisans whose skills go back generations, and we give fabric offcuts a second life as birds, flowers and nimbu-mirchi charms. It is slower than buying off a shelf, which is exactly the point. We call it slow gifting.
6. Delivered, ready to give
Gifts are packed to arrive the way they left us, in Hyderabad by hand and elsewhere in India by trusted couriers. For larger orders we plan delivery around your event, so nothing arrives too early or too late.
Ideas by occasion
- Weddings & shagun: invite boxes, shagun baskets and return gifts that match the wedding’s colours.
- Poojas & ceremonies: silver agarbatti boxes, brass pieces and sweets packed as blessings to take home.
- Newborn: welcome hampers, name cushions and keepsake boxes to announce the arrival.
- Client gifting: quiet, well-made branding on pieces clients actually keep.
